Chapter 19—Penalties
Section 19-1-1, Penalties (Parking Violations)
The amounts set forth in the table below will be accepted as payment of a penalty for the offense charged. Except as detailed in the table below, failure by the vehicle operator or owner to make such payment within 10 business days from the date the citation was issued shall result in the fine doubling the original fine amount owed. Further, except as detailed in the table below, failure by the vehicle operator or owner to make such payment within 20 business days shall result in the fine quadrupling the original amount owed. Business Days shall mean Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, but excluding Municipal Holidays. Municipal Holidays shall mean New Year's Day, Martin Luther King/Civil Rights Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Election Day (when applicable), Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

City Charter
Violation of any provision of the City Charter, unless otherwise provided, or violation of any city ordinance for which no other punishment is provided shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and notwithstanding RSA 651:2, shall be fined not more than $500.00 or imprisoned not more than 90 days, or both.
