§ 19-1-1. Penalties.

Unless otherwise provided, a person violating any provision of Chapter 17 or Chapter 18 of the Traffic Code shall be punished for each offense by a fine of not more than the amount listed in Schedule II of Chapter 1. The optional procedure set forth in Section 19-1-4 may be used in lieu of court proceedings for violations of Article 18-1.
