§ 6-1-7. Regulated Uses.

  • A permit must be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Director prior to entering any recreational facility to:

    (a)

    Conduct, operate, present, or manage a parade, drill, maneuver, public meeting, ceremony, speech, address, harangue, public contest, exhibit, dramatic performance, spectacle, choir, glee club, or orchestra.

    (b)

    Conduct, operate, present, or manage an organized picnic or outing with an anticipated attendance of more than twenty-five (25) people.

    (c)

    Exhibit, sell, offer for sale, hire, lease, or let out any object, service, merchandise, or anything whatsoever.

    (d)

    Advertise in any manner whatsoever for any reason whatsoever.

    (e)

    Throw, cast, catch, kick, play with, or strike any game ball whatsoever or engage in any sport, game, or competition except in places and during the time designated therefore or to engage in or play a game or other sport or contest of a nature different from that for which the designated area was created. This subsection shall not apply in areas officially set aside for diversified games. A permit to do any act shall authorize the same only insofar as it may be performed in strict accordance with the written terms and conditions thereof.

    (f)

    Cause or permit any animal, livestock, or poultry to go at large in a recreation facility.

    (g)

    To ride or lead a horse into or upon lawns or other prohibited areas in any recreation facility.

    (h)

    Perform or exhibit professional firework shows. All other local and state firework approvals must be obtained prior to the performance or exhibition of professional firework shows.
