§ 8-1-1. Fire Department.

The Veteran Fireman's Association shall be an auxiliary branch of the Fire Department and its members shall be honorary members of the Department constituting a cooperative working force to serve in emergency. Service rendered by them shall be under the direction and control of the officers of the Department and subject to rules and regulations thereof, and without other compensation than the furnishings by the City of quarters for the Association.
