§ 18-3-10. Exceptions.

  • (a)

    Commercial Vehicles Loading or Unloading. Commercial vehicles bearing commercial registration plates may occupy the parking space adjacent to any parking meter for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading without making the deposit of a coin in the parking meter.

    (b)

    Vehicles of Police and Fire Departments. Vehicles of the Police and Fire Departments may be parked within the metered parking spaces and no deposit shall be required by the operator of a controlled parking space [sic] such vehicles officially engaged in the performance of his duties.

    (c)

    Privately Owned Vehicles Being Used by City Employees for Official Business. Vehicles privately owned, rented, or leased by City of Concord employees who are actively engaged in the performance of their duties shall not be required to make deposits into meters. Said employees shall be required to display a City of Concord business parking card on the driver's side dashboard.
