Article 6-1. RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PARKS |
§ 6-1-4. Use of Tobacco.
A person shall not use in any City park tobacco products unless in specifically designated areas.
(a)
Tobacco-free Parks. Use of tobacco products is not allowed in the following parks:
Beaver Meadow Park
Fletcher-Murphy Playground
Kimball Park
Reed Playground
Thompson Playground
West Street Playground
(b)
Parks with Designated Tobacco-Use Areas. Except in clearly designated areas, use of tobacco products is not allowed in the following parks:
Garrison Park
Keach Park
Memorial Field
Merrill Park
Penacook River Plaza
Rolfe Park
Rollins Park
Russell Martin Park
Terrill Park
Water Front Park
White Park
William A. Healy Memorial Park
(c)
Public Plazas. Use of tobacco products in Bicentennial Square and Eagle Square is allowed except during functions run by the City or run by other entities under a license or permit issued by the City.
(d)
Municipal Golf Course. Use of tobacco products at the Beaver Meadow Golf Course are allowed except in the clubhouse or on the patio adjacent to the function hall.
(e)
Signage. Signs alerting all park patrons that "Tobacco Use in This Park is Restricted to Designated Areas Only" shall be placed at every entrance to the parks in subsection (b) above.
(f)
Designated Tobacco-Use Areas. Designated areas in which use of tobacco products is to be allowed under subsection (b) above will be selected by the City Manager or the City Manager's designee.
(g)
Receptacles for Disposal. Appropriate receptacles for the disposal of tobacco products shall be placed at all entrances to parks and in all areas designated for allowed tobacco use.
