§ 6-1-1. Definitions.

  • As used in this Article, the following words or phrases shall have the meanings set forth below, except when the context in which they are used requires a different meaning:

    Alcoholic Beverages. Alcoholic beverages mean liquor and beverages as those terms are defined in RSA 175:1, VIII and XLII.

    Excreta. All useless matter eliminated from the bodily system as sputum, urine, or fecal matter.

    Intoxication. An impairment to any degree of a person's mental or physical faculties as a result of drug or alcoholic beverage use so as to diminish that person's ability to think and act in a manner in which an ordinary prudent and cautious person, in full possession of his or her faculties and using reasonable care, would act under like circumstances.

    Permit. Any written authorization issued by or under the authority of the Parks and Recreation Director permitting specified recreation facility usage.

    Private Passenger Vehicle. As defined in the statutes under RSA 259:81.

    Publicly Owned Vehicle. A vehicle owned by a school, state, county, or municipal government.

    Parks and Recreation Director. The person appointed by the City Manager to fill the duties prescribed for the Parks and Recreation Director by the Administrative Code.

    Recreation Facilities. The term recreation facilities unless specifically limited, shall be deemed to include all parks, playgrounds, community centers, athletic fields, stadiums, tennis courts, swimming pools, recreational areas and structures, including entrances and approaches thereto, and all other land or property or structures, now or hereafter owned or acquired by the City for park or recreational purposes, except for Beaver Meadow Golf Course, Everett Arena, and the City Auditorium.

    Rules and Regulations. Any rule or regulation promulgated by the Parks and Recreation Director under authority herein conferred.

    Tobacco Products. Tobacco products in this Chapter shall mean any product made fully or in part of tobacco which is intended for smoking, chewing, or inhaling. Such products include, but are not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, snuff, chewing tobacco, and blunts.

    Vehicle. As defined in the statutes under RSA 259:122, I.
