§ 18-1-19. Handicapped-Access Locations.

  • The Director of Public Works is authorized to (a) issue a license for the establishment of handicapped-access locations in the street right-of-way, (b) post such locations to prohibit parking in front of the access, (c) issue rules governing the establishment of such access locations, and (d) establish a fee to cover the City's cost of providing and erecting a suitable sign. An applicant for the handicapped-access location at a residence shall present the director with identification issued pursuant to RSA 261:88. All other applicants shall furnish such proof of need as may be required in the regulations issued by the director. Licenses shall be for a renewable term of five (5) years and shall provide that they be surrendered on the decease or relocation of the benefiting handicapped applicant or lapse in the need therefor.
