§ 9-6-8. Damages Awarded.

Whenever in the construction of any common sewer or drain, it shall be found necessary or convenient to carry the same, or any portion thereof, through or across private land, or land not included within the limits of any public street or highway, the City Council may order the same to be so carried, by giving notice and awarding damages to the owner of such land, as provided by law in the case of laying out of highways.
