Appendix 4.1. An Act Relating to the Precincts in the City of Concord.

  • Section 1. The City of Concord may, by vote of its Board of Aldermen abolish any or all of the precincts now established wholly within its limits, or combine all of said precincts into one precinct and enlarge the same to become coextensive with the territorial limits of said City; provided, that nothing herein shall deprive the said Board of Aldermen of the right to determine the limits within which the precinct service shall be supplied; provided, further, that the said Board of Aldermen may continue the separate organization of any or all of the precincts so abolished or so combined for the purpose of paying off the bonds or notes of such precincts or precincts which may remain outstanding and unpaid at the time of such abolition or combination, such separate organization to continue only for such purpose and only until such time, in the case of each precinct, as the last bond or note so outstanding shall be paid or retired; provided, further, that nothing in this Act shall apply to school districts or water precincts.

    Section 2. All Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed and this Act shall take effect upon its passage.
