Appendix 2.6. Numbering Code.

This Code shall be numbered by a decimal system with each section number consisting of three (3) component parts separated by a dash (-). The figure before the first dash shall refer to the chapter number, the figure after the first dash shall refer to the article number, the figure after the second dash shall refer to the section number. When a new chapter is to be added it will be inserted by adding a decimal point (.) after the chapter number which immediately precedes the position of insertion. Articles and sections will be inserted in an existing chapter by numbering the new article or section the same as the article or section immediately preceding the point of insertion with the addition of a decimal point and numeral. The numbering system for each title of the Code of Ordinances shall be converted to the system established by this Section, as revisions are issued by the City Solicitor.
